Mondays creative tasks including an art class. The day ends with mental games such as crosswords, cards and quizzes.
A communication group is run in by a Tendring Specialist Stroke Services qualified tutor in Harwich. (1.30 pm - 3.30 pm).
Tuesdays see sheet.
Wednesdays includes a consultant Speech & Languge Theapist who attends on regalar basis. Communication skills with an adult education tutor in attendance.
Thursdays People who have severe physical problems and may be restricted to wheelchairs. (10 am to 3.30 pm)
Fridays Cognitive and verbal work is undertaken. A structured gentle exercise period takes place.
There is a trial period of approx 6 weeks. If at any time Tendring Specialist Stroke Services feels that they are unable to continue to meet the needs of the client/carer, the situation will be reviewed. This could possibly result in the client no longer attending the group. Assistance would be offered in referring to an alternative agency if required.
